Health & Nutrition
Fueling Healthy Development
Just like anything else, the brain needs fuel in order to function properly. Children at Discovery Point benefit from our wholesome approach to nutrition as well as our approach to learning. Together, these make for a healthy, growing child.
A healthy child is better able to learn and grow, both academically and socially. Mealtime is also an excellent opportunity for children to work on their social skills while providing them with happy and healthy fuel! We therefore believe it is such an important part of our curriculum to lead by example and reinforce nutritional education.
Health is Our Priority
Childcare health and nutrition go hand-in-hand with learning and growth. Your child’s health is of the utmost importance to us. It’s a commitment we share at every local Discovery Point Child Development Center. We will also communicate openly with you should your child become sick or injured for any reason. We believe nutrition is a foundational building block for healthy living and learning, so we work to provide each child with nourishing, USDA-approved meals.

Private Pay Rates
Infants- 260.00 per week
2 years old- 4 years old- 250.00 per week
4 years old-6 years old- 220.00 per week
Schoolagers- 175.00 per week
Before and After School- 125.00 per week
Drop in Rate: 65.00 per day.
Curriculum: Creative Curriculum: Teaches exploration and discovery as a way of learning and teaches children to be creative, confident thinkers. we provide activities targeted toward 9 essential developmental areas
The Meals We Serve: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snack, and Dinner
Age Group: 6 months- 8 years of age
We Provide: Transportation to and From School, Field Trips, Evening Care, We Accept Subsidy, we offer a Summer Camp (outdoor activities splash pad and summer movie program)

Welcome to Lori's Early Steps Through Giggles and Wiggles!
As the director and owner of our nurturing 5-Star facility, I bring over 20 years of childcare experience to our center. Holding a Bronze Level Director certification, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, and a Certificate of Mastery in Child Development, I am dedicated to providing exceptional care. Licensed for 12 children, we offer a safe, enriching, and supportive environment.
